Zhangjiajie & Fenghuang 5-Day Classic Tour

Local guide will meet and greet you at the airport or train station, transfer to hotel. Free and easy time for you to explore the small city. Zhangjiajie is a small city located in the northwest of Hunan province, with a total population of 1.7 million. It is famous for its unique sand stone quarts peaks and mountains. (Most of the flight arrive and departure from Zhangjiajie in the evening.)

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, we will travel to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park via bus.

Explore the beautiful scenery, while making our way to Bailong Elevator, made entirely of see-through glass. Take a ride in this famous elevator, up to Yuanjiajie Mountain, and have a bird's eye view of the breath-taking landscape.

Once at Yuanjiajie's summit, enjoy a 2.5 hours hike to the Pillar of Southern Sky. One of the tallest of the 3000 pillars in the park, this pillar was officially renamed as the Avatar Hallelujah Mountain (阿凡达-哈利路亚山), in honor of the film Avatar, which took inspiration from these peculiar floating peaks. From there, we will proceed to the Platform of Forgetfulness to admire nearby peak-views before walking across the First Bridge Under Heaven.

Lunch at the local restaurant will be available at your own expense. 

Next, we will take the park shuttle bus to visit Tianzi Mountain, known as “the Monarch of the Peak Forest”. Pine trees, the Yu Bi (imperial brushes) Peaks, Xihai Stone Forest, and other incredible views and scenery await. 

We will then make our way back down. Opt to take the Mt. Tianzi Cable Way down by your own expense, or hike down. Transfer back to the hotel after the tour, where you will have free time in the evening.

Proceed to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, to explore the Golden Whip Stream (Jinbianxi) – this charming valley is most likely to bring you into the Pandora's wonderland of the movie Avatar. You will have a leisure hiking about 2.5 hours along the stream. You can just relax yourself with the beautiful mountain, fresh air, and pure water.

We will then travel via bus (40min drive) to Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Walk along the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. This bridge is not only the highest, but also the longest glass bridge in the world. It is not for the faint-hearted, (The Glass Bridge is built between two mountains of Zhangjiajie Grand canyon, it is 375 meters long and 6 meters wide, with a height of 300 meters from bottoms).

Proceed to Tianmen Mountain cable car after breakfast, take the world's longest cable car get to the top of Tianmen mountain, it is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie city, you can have a good experience on the sky walk which is made of glass, you can also see the 99 turns road and 999 steps leading to the gate of the Tianmen. Finish your trip in Zhangjiajie, transfer to Fenghuang Old Town. You can relax yourself in the bars in the evening time. 

Your guide will take you to visit the old Phoenix Ancient City, which located in Xiang Xi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The majority of the city's population is comprised of the Miao and Tujia minorities. The Ancient Fenghuang (Phoenix) City is known as the “most beautiful small city in China”; It is famous for surrounding mountains and rivers and ancient town, drive back to Zhangjiajie airport or Huaihua Train Station directly after the tour.
