Visit a local Xi'an family and experience their daily life. You will learn how to make traditional, home-made style dumplings or hot pot plus two or more other traditional dishes with the family members and share the special meal and conversation with host family. You will visit two local food markets to see fresh vegetables, food and meat, this visit will show you where the ingredients for your meal are from. The transportation, guide service and family meal are included.
Visit local Food Market where you will see the fresh ingredients, such as vegetables and fresh meat;
Join the local family and learn to make dumplings with them, you will have an interesting conversation with them to know their life;
Beside dumplings, learn more local dishes to acompany the dumplings;
This tour is optional Morning Tour or Afternoon tour!
If you choose morning tour, Xi'an city hotel pick up or anywhere as you requested at 9:00am.
If you choose afternoon tour, you will start tour at 14:30pm.
This tour is the best way to experience a half day as a Xi'an local. You will learn some home-made style easily cooking dishes even you can cook for your family and friends when you come back home!
Meet your local guide at your hotel at the agreed time, then go to local Food Market to explore how Chinese people shopping fresh vegetables, food and meat, then walk to ordinary Xi'an family to see how their daily life goes. Upon arrival to the local family home, you will start practice your own dumpling meal plus some local dishes (such as scrambled egg with tomato; Sauté soy sauce cabbage.... ) follow hostess or host teaching instruction.
During this fun local family visit, you also have opportunity to speak their kids in English, Chinese or even by body language! This is surely a great local experience for you to know more about Chinese family condition, family burden and kids education system.
Meal will be the dumplings and dishes you and the hostess cooked.
Guide and driver will take you back hotel at the end of the tour!

The quoted price is for a 5-hour tour per day.
Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.
Pls note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.
We conduct only private tour but not group tour and won’t mix you with others.
