This 3-hour non-touristy local food night tour lets you try out more than 15 kinds of authentic Xi'an local food. This tour is not just about food but also about the folk culture, traditional cooking methods and interesting drinking ceremony. Have fun with locals in a lively and colorful cultural area with dozens of workshops. Watch local chefs prepare numerous dishes such as tofu pudding, hand cut round noodles and savory meats. Learn about the local cuisine over unlimited beers and sodas, and enjoy a last local ice cream stop at the end.
Walk in Yongxingfang Foodie Culture Square to take a food adventrue of the traditional snacks;

Attend an interesting drinking ceremony called "Shuaiwanjiu": drink a bowl of rice wine and break the bowl on the ground!
Meet your friendly tour guide in your Hotel Lobby at 6:00pm. Follow your guide take taxi (on your own cost) to Yongxingfang Foodie Culture Square where you will see lots of beautiful lanterns, dozens of restaurants, old farm ploughs, 3-wheel wooden carriers, dried wheat straw piles, bunches of red chilies and huge mask painting walls.
Attend a drinking ceremony called “Shuaiwanjiu”. This comes from countryside and it is used to wish safety for yourself. Take one bowl of rice wine (about 1 % alcohol), shout "Suisui ping an” and bottoms up, then throw it to the target wall! It also means a sort of life belief: Never Give Up!
Continue your fun night by tasting 15 kinds local food items such as vegetable skewer, mushroom skewer, sweet nut candies, sweet potato products, local burger (Rou Jia Mo), spinach belt noodle, donkey burger, thick king bread, sticky rice pies, black sesame and nuts dessert, cumin little baby potatoes, tofu or soybean products, steamed rice noodle with sesame butter, lamb BBQ, lamb soup, dim sum, and etc.. Other than eating, you also can see cooking processes through kitchen glass windows.
Then, visit sesame oil workshop, vinegar fermenting, tofu works, chili grinding stone mill, sticky rice pie kitchen and more if time allows. Your last stop is to enjoy one ice cream or local yoghourt.
In the end, your guide will assist you to get a taxi for returning back to your hotel, or you can spend more time in the area on your own.
