This full-day tour takes you to visit the nearest water town - Zhujiajiao Water Town and gives you the chance to experience the local's morning activities while wandering around the former French Concession area. For this tour, you will be picked up and dropped off at your Shanghai hotel, and the ticket fee, transport and guide are all included. Please cover the lunch by your own expense.

Visit Zhujiajiao Water Tower - is the nearest ancient water town around Shanghai and the best-preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai.
Meet your guide in your hotel lobby at 8:00am or your request time and start your exciting tour, firstly give you the chance to experience the local's morning activities at the former French Concession, to enjoy the beauty of those villas and mansions, to take a glance of the Shanghai Shikumen style neighborhood and the local fresh market (some people might also call it wet market), and to appreciate the folk art pieces in little white house, where is a spectacular mansion which was one of the most opulent houses in former French Concession.
At the lunch time, your tour guide can recommend some authentic Chinese restaurants that cater whatever you are craving for. You can cover the lunch by your own cost.
Next drive to a beautiful ancient water village - Zhujiajiao that built around the canal, to picture the original style of the architecture - temples, gardens, post office..., to stroll through various types of the bridges, to taste the local favor of the cuisine, etc. Stroll over stone bridges and past old buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, then take a traditional wooden boat to enjoy the riverside scenery.
Afterwards, drive back to Shanghai and drop you off at centrally located hotel to conclude the amazing day trip.

The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.
Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.
Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.
For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. Please cover the lunch by your own cost, thanks.
