Overview

On the first day, visit Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City, in the afternoon, walk in Hutong area and visit Lama Temple

The next day, go to wild section of the Great Wall: Huanghuacheng Wall and enjoy 1 to 2 hours hiking there. In the afternoon, we will go to the Ming Tombs and visit Ding Tomb.

On the last day, we will have the tour in the city, visit the Temple of Heaven, go to Beijing Zoo to see lovely panda and end the tour in the best-preserved imperial park: Summer Palace. In the 3-day tour, we will pick you up at your hotel lobby and drive you back every day.

Itinerary

Day 1Tian'anmen Square-Forbidden City-Hutongs-Lama Temple

In the morning, we will visit the Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures. Then we head to the magnificent Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. We'll spend a couple of hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace.

Have lunch in a local Chinese Restaurant. After lunch, we drive to the hutong (old residential area), walking around old Beijing hutong at the downtown area. 

At the end, we will go to Lama Temple, the largest and most well-preserved Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Beijing.

Day 2Huanghuacheng Great Wall-Ding Tomb at the Ming Tombs

In the early morning, we drive to Huanghuacheng Great Wall. This 10,800-meter section of the wall is the strongest and most well-built, with six forts guarding six passes, twelve beacon towers, and thirty-two watchtowers. This is a less renovated section, where you can have a glimpse of the wild Wall, less visited and quieter. You will have 1.5 hour hiking along the wall.

Please note: It needs more physical demanding since some part of this section is un-renovated and keeps a wild condition.

By the end of tour, you will walk through the rugged rock pass then down to a lovely village down the hill which give you a vivid impression of rural life with all the farm lands, horse and donkey.

After having lunch in a local Chinese restaurant nearby the wall, we will drive to Ding Tomb at the Ming Tombs. It was listed as World Culture Heritage which was surrounded by mountains. Ding Tomb is the only emperor's tomb that open to the public.

Day 3Temple of Heaven-Pearl Market(Optional)- Beijing Zoo (Panda House)-Summer Palace

In the morning, we visit Temple of Heaven, the largest imperial place of worship from ancient times. This special place becomes a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities such as singing, dancing, and Tai Chi practice.

we will stop at Pearl Market (optional), where you can find those fun knock-off brand bags, shoes, and watches as well as pearls. There is a little bit of everything here, and you will surely find some great souvenirs to bring home to family and friends.

Then we drive to Beijing Zoo, home to around 450 different species and has a population of some 5,000 animals. Some of the most popular attractions among visitors are the wild rare animals of China itself, such as the giant pandas, golden monkeys, Milu deer and northeast tigers, etc.

We will then enjoy a delicious lunch of dumplings or Chinese dishes including rice at the local restaurant. After that, we drive to Summer Palace, a summer resort for Imperial Family Members, considered the best-preserved Imperial Park. We will visit the court area, lake area, long corridor, etc.

Trip Notes

  • The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.

  • Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.

  • Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.

  • For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. If you prefer to take a lunch in a fancy restaurant or order dishes more than our budget then you can just cover the cost difference above our budget.

  • We conduct only private tour but not group tour and won't mix you with others.
