Please get there yourself and arrive at the meeting time 10 minutes in advance to ensure a timely departure.

How to get to the meeting point?

  • Take a DiDi or taxi, and show the driver the Chinese address:"请带我去北京贵宾楼饭店".

  • Take subway line 1 and get off at Wangfujing Station. Use Exit C1 walk east along East Chang'an Avenue for approximately 400 meters.

Visit the Tiananmen Square (about 1 hour)

Follow your guide to walk to the Tiananmen Square. It is the heart of Beijing and the one of the most important landmarks of China. Covering an area of 440,000 square meters, Tiananmen Square boasts the largest city-center square in the world, which can hold one million people.

Here you can see the Tiananmen Gate Tower with the portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on its red walls, the majestic Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, etc. Your professional guide will provide insightful information and background about this sacred square.

Note:

Please bring your original passport for the security check at Tiananmen Square. You'll need to account for some waiting time during this process.

Visit the Forbidden City (about 2-2.5 hours, Admission included)

From the Tiananmen Square, you can walk about 600 meters to the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City (aka the Palace Museum) - the world's largest and most complete ancient imperial palace complex.

With a history of over 600 years, the Forbidden City was once the imperial residence and political center of 24 Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors, making it the best place to glimpse into history, architecture and life of Chinese royalty. Here the red walls, golden roofs, and symmetrically arranged palaces along the majestic central axis will instantly evoke a feeling of traveling back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Your guide will narrate fascinating stories about the jade and porcelain in the Treasure Gallery, the pavilions of the Imperial Garden, and the "little mythical beasts" guarding the palace rooftops, etc. So, be ready for an informative adventure during your Forbidden City walking tour.

After the tour, you can get back to your hotel yourself by subway or taxi. Your guide will be glad to advise you on how to get back to your hotel or reach other attractions you are interested in.
