This one-day tour takes you to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and Leshan Giant Buddha. 1. 7:30–8:30 Hotel Pick-up & Transfer to Panda Base
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel within Chengdu's 2nd Ring Road, then transfer to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (about 1-hour drive).
2. 8:30–11:00 Visit Chengdu Panda Base
Explore the panda base for about 2.5 hours. Observe lovely giant pandas—from newborn pink cubs to 1.5m adults. Watch them eating bamboo, playing in enclosures, climbing trees, or resting in pools. The morning is the best time to view active pandas.
3. 11:00–13:30 Bus Transfer to Leshan & Lunch
Take the highway to Leshan (about 2.5 hours). Stop for lunch at a local authentic Sichuan restaurant (at your own cost).
4. 13:30–15:30 Visit Leshan Giant Buddha
Visit the 71m-tall Leshan Giant Buddha, the world's largest sitting Buddha carved into the cliff. Walk along the plank road to see the Buddha's head and feet closely. Visit nearby Lingyun Temple to learn about Buddhism and local culture.
5. 15:30–18:00 Return to Chengdu
Transfer back to Chengdu by bus. The tour ends near Tianfu Square (traffic-dependent).

The quoted price is for an 8-hours tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.
Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.
Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.
For lunch, you will have free time to explore and choose a restaurant according to your own preference. This way you can enjoy local dishes or any style of dining you prefer, at your own expense. Please cover lunch at your own cost.
