Chengdu Food Tour: Local Food & Beer Night

At 17:30pm, our guide will meet you at the EXCIT B of Nijiaqiao Metro Station, Line 1, we will walk a couple of minutes into the local alley, this is a "village" in downtown Chengdu, as Yuling is regarded as the earliest fashionable living area in Chengdu, all the courtyards are kept originally for living without being developed into high rise buildings. Small alleys and living courtyards scatter in this area while outside are high building surrounds, hence tourists call it"city village", we will walk into one of the alleys, once you go into it, you will see many restaurants on both sides of the streets, street vendors sell the snacks, vegetable and fruit on the way.

18:00pm, we will walk into some courtyards and see the locals playing Majong, sipping a cup of tea and do the square dance, and as you walk you may find all the walls are painted with Chinese traditional pictures; we will stop for the local snacks such as noodle, GuoKui, Chinese homemade pancakes, or if you like a Sichuan Cuisine or Spicy Chuanchuan, just let your guide know.

19:00pm, we will walk by a local food market, you will find yourself be surrounded by colorful fresh ingredients; red Chills, green Sichuan peppers, long noodles , etc. Whatever you think you can find here, the locals come here to buy the ingredients for their family dinner everyday.

19:30pm, after our visit in the local market, we will stop at a beer shop nearby the corner, the best thing is to taste a glass of local craft beer as a reward, you will chat with the locals as this one is the favorite beer shop among the local. We probably spend one hour around to taste 4 kinds of beer here, after that if you decide staying longer, our guide will leave you there, or help you to take a taxi back to your hotel.
