As the largest panda base in the world, Chengdu Panda Base is a must-go place in Chengdu for you to take a close look at the rare and cute giant pandas. In Wenshuyuan Monastery, we will try the authentic local snacks such as Guokui(Chinese Hamburger), dumplings and Dandan noodle for the lunch, enjoy a cup of green tea in the courtyard like the locals. Later, we will follow the footpath along the river down to Taikooli commercial area, you will not only explore the traditional parts of Chengdu, but experience real local laid back life.

In the morning, our driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00am. You will drive about 40 minutes to Chengdu Panda Base, which is the largest panda base in Chengdu, surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. You will be guided through visiting the different enclosures of Chengdu Panda Base, where you may not only see adult pandas, but also newly born baby pandas if luck enough. We spend whole morning walking around this area to see different pandas playing in the enclosures or on the trees.
After our tour in the Panda Base, we will drive about 40 minutes to Wenshuyuan Monastery area. We will go for a walk through Wenshuyuan Monastery. Although it is a temple, people there are living a very relaxed lifestyle. The locals kill their leisure time by drinking tea, playing Mayong game and eating local snacks here. Your guide will let you try the different local snacks for lunch.
After lunch, you will step into the monastery to have a look at this 1000-year old treasure, to let your mind and body calm down or for a short meditation. After a short visit of the Monastery, we will go to a local tea house to sip a cup of tea like locals, or play Mayong game with the locals.
Then, we will follow the footpath along the river to Taiguli area, the center of Chengdu. It is a very relaxed soft walk as you will pass by the locals' residences, seeing people enjoy the sunshine with a cup of tea nearby the river. This evening a hot pot dinner or local Sichuan cuisine will be arranged for you . And when you arrive in Taikooli area, it will be a good comparison with Wenshu Monastery, as buildings here are designed fashionable and artistic, you will pass by many deluxe stores.
Later after that, we will drive you back to your hotel around 18:30pm-19:00pm, the end of tour.

The quoted price is for a 10-11 hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 11 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.
It is a soft walk walk in Panda Base and downtown Chengdu, a pair of comfortable walking shoes is necessary.
