Overview

On the first day, visit Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City, in the afternoon, walk in Hutong area and visit Lama Temple. We will spend the next day in Simatai Great wall and Gubei Water Town. On third day, we will have the tour in the city, visit the Temple of Heaven and the best-preserved imperial park: Summer Palace. On the last day, you will have the chance to see panda in Beijing Zoo and have some fun moment in Panjiayuan Dirt Market, in the afternoon, we will visit Jingshan Park and Beihai Park to get a fabulous panoramic view of city of Beijing. In the 4-day tour, we will pick you up at your hotel lobby and drive you back every day.

Itinerary

Day 1Tian'anmen Square-Forbidden City-Hutongs-Lama Temple

In the morning, we will visit the Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures. Then we head to the magnificent Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. We'll spend a couple of hours wandering around this amazing example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace.

Have lunch in a local Chinese Restaurant. After lunch, we drive to the hutong (old residential area), walking around old Beijing hutong at the downtown area. 

At the end, we will go to Lama Temple, the largest and most well-preserved Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Beijing.

Day 2 Simatai Great Wall-Gubei Water Town

In the early morning, drive to Simatai Great Wall, which is one of the few sections to retain the original appearance of the Great Wall. It was built in the Ming Dynasty, known as the "dangerous, extraordinary and special” section.

It displays various patterns of construction. You can not only view the conventional appearance of the Great Wall, with battlements on each side of the track, but also see on steep cliffs the half-wall style, with battlements built only on the outer side. The slope and width also change dramatically depending on the different terrain. Some segments along the gentle slopes are so wide and mild that even horses can walk on them. At other narrow points, only one person at a time is able to pass.

In the afternoon, we will have a relax walk in Gubei Water Town, surrounds the beautiful Mandarin Duck Lake Reservoir and leans against the Simatai Great Wall, Gubei Water Town boasts a combination of mountains, water and ancient villages. It is a replica of Wuzhen Water Town in the Southern China, has developed into a large-scale sightseeing and holiday destination.

Day 3Temple of Heaven-Pearl Market(Optional)-Summer Palace

In the morning, we visit Temple of Heaven, the largest Imperial place of worship from ancient times. This special place becomes a park where the local community utilizes this beautiful and enormous space for social activities such as singing, dancing, and Tai Chi practice.

We will stop at Pearl Market (optional), where you can find those fun knock-off brand bags, shoes, and watches as well as pearls. There is a little bit of everything here, and you will surely find some great souvenirs to bring home to family and friends.

We will then enjoy a delicious lunch of dumplings or Chinese dishes at the local restaurant. After that, we drive to Summer Palace, a summer resort for Imperial Family Members, considered the best-preserved Imperial Park. We will visit the court area, lake area, long corridor, etc.

Day 4Beijing Zoo (Panda House)- Panjiayuan Dirt Market-Jingshan Park-Beihai Park

In the morning, we drive to Beijing Zoo, which is home to around 450 different species and has a population of some 5,000 animals. Some of the most popular attractions among visitors are the wild rare animals of China itself, such as the giant pandas, golden monkeys, Milu deer and northeast tigers, etc.

Then we head to Panjiayuan Dirt Market (outdoor weekend market)-Originally a flea market, it is now Beijing's most famous antique market! The market is specially animated on weekends, the permanent stalls and shops are joined by vendors setting out their wares on the ground.

After lunch, we will visit Jingshan Park and climb to the top pavilion to get a fabulous panoramic view of city Beijing. The tour will be end at Beihai Park, which is considered one of the oldest and best-preserved imperial garden in the downtown area. We will leisurely stroll the gardens with plenty of photo opportunities.

  • The quoted price is for an 8-hour tour per day. If you use more than 6 hours or less than 8 hours per day it will still be considered a full day.

  • Additional hours are billed at 50CNY to 100CNY for the guide and 50CNY to 100CNY for the driver.

  • Please note that the itinerary is flexible and we can adjust it according to your personal interests, the weather or any unexpected conditions.

  • For the lunch, we will take you to the authentic Chinese local restaurant catering for the locals with great dishes. If you prefer to take a lunch in a fancy restaurant or order dishes more than our budget then you can just cover the cost difference above our budget.
