This hutong gastronomic experience will take you to family homes from several hundred years old Mongolian hotpot to family operated BBQ，tasting local beers including one pint of homemade craft beer or several Beijing sodas. All this in a 3-hour stroll through the 700-year-old historic hutongs.
Visit hidden family restaurants that only local people go;
Eat Family Noodles, Beijing Wraps, BBQ Cooking, cooking and eating around the hotpot;
18:00 Meet your guide at a convenient point: Beijing downtown center Drum Tower entrance to begin your adventure in hutong's food and culture.
In the hutong alleys, you'll see hutong stores, vegetable shops, and local residences and courtyards. Your guide will share the story of this living custom, helping you to travel through time.
You will visit the most hidden family BBQ restaurant, where only local people know.
Not only taste the delicious BBQ dishes there but also have the chance to try their famous home-made craft beer, you will feel comfortable in this cozy space and have an interesting conversation with your guide, just like old friends.
After that, you will also have the chance to try the traditional Beijing food as Jianbing (pancake), baozi, pea cake, handmade noodles with fried bean sauce, Mongolian hot pot, etc.
At the last stop, you will have a cup of fresh hand-made yoghurt or frozen yoghurt pop.
You'll end your tour armed with recommendations for the rest of your trip and a happy and full stomach and if you are interested in the nearby “Great Leap Brewing”, which is one of the most famous craft beer gardens in Beijing, the guide will show you the place and you can visit it at your own cost after the tour.
